Free Spirit Sheffield

Well, started playing around with this bike.  Started cleaning up and removing rust.  Found tires to fit at Walmart, but refuse to pay 20 bucks a piece.  Will stick with biketiresdirect.com.  And I like the gum walls anyway.  Has a SA AW hub, stamped 12-85.  As promised, here are a few pics.

1985 Sheffield Free Spirit

Found a nice blue Sheffield Free Spirit.  Was in someones barn in Richmond, Tx.  Pretty dusty, some rust, has a SA hub, says 12-85.  Should clean up nicely.  Of course the tires are dry rotted. Will post pics later.

1971 Triumph

Well, played around with the bottom bracket, got it to tighten down, minimal play.  Had a old Messinger saddle laying around and put it on.  Looks ok.  Shifts nice and rides well.  Wish I could find some replica decals for the chain guard.  Really like this bike!

1971 Triumph

Picked up a 1971 Triumph step through frame.  Is in pretty good shape, but bottom bracket is loose, will have to tear it down to overhaul and re-build.  Will do that after I am done with the Hercules.  The saddle is not original.  Cleaned up really nice.
